They both exsists even today, when most humans can live while same induvidials would have died few hudered years ago, only the shape of it has changed. Different kind of people are concidered today "Fittest" aswell as natural selection biases different kind of induvidials than of few hundered years ago. What kinda death for cause is to attempt sucide? That's not dying for cause, it is called avoiding. Avoiding consequenses, responsibility and punishment. Suicide isn't the answer, it is an escape goat from the things i mentioned first. If hes were to be serious of al lthat what he mentioned, he would have either surrender or continued the stand of untill captures or shot to death. I have no idea what country, society or regime he is talking about, but definately not Finland. And last. If this really was his war, attempting suicide makes him a traitor.

I feel the same thing than Jukka. What he said make sense in some way but it lacked of coherence... Why to ask people not to understand his actions through his interests and give a list of his interests just after that? But we can't blame him for that, as he introduced himself with this paradox list. I wish people will reconsider this case and all the previous cases that are all similar. Those guys had feelings that quite everybody has but nobody to share them with and to relativize their concepts. There's only one thing to blame of which Finland is not spared : idea ostracism.

I wouldn't say that theos, it's free to everyone to interpret creations out of the way people generally do. Even the author, moreover when he is dead, doesn't own any "true" meaning, and music and films are not necessarily just entertainments. Pekka-Eric Auvinen is likely mad or has very poor logical and reasoning ability and skills. He obviously is greatly influenced by a fleeting exposure to Nietzchean works, perhaps the "genealogy". He is greatly influenced by his world or the world he claims to despise judgeing from his list of influences i.e. what he has viewed or read over his short life but wants none of them to be blamed for his nasty behaviour. As a parent, I feel wholly responsible for any actions of my children, as children become mainly the sum of their parental influence. One wonders why he did not shoot the governments etc. he despises but children or young adults he has brutally murdered or maimed?

Hello Givrix, I think there must be a true meaning of an expression. The problem should be a reader knowing what the author means. True meaning of a text can be arrived at when parties involved in a discussion clarified their positions, a situation which is deriguer inb philosophical discussions. No wonder philosophers talk a lot to convey their point. This "unemployed philosopher" if we could ever call him that obviously has little room for dialogue. On the other point, music is primarily for entertainment, though we can ascribe secondary functions to it. Further, this entertainment aspect is necessary to make the music assessible for other purposes. I don't think I'm being dogmatic in this ascription but then if you disagree, it will take further or considerable comment to make my point. regards...

Theos I wish your children to be smart enough to show you they are not the sum of their genitors. They can influence you as much as you influence them. I'm an exchange student in Finland and during the two months I spent in Tampere the main thing I realize is that outsiders often look retarded in opposition to Finns. Also I see some medias start to judge his ideas and interests ad hominem. I'm pissed off of this. Hi ThinkForMyself! I'm the guy who told about banning guns. Our system is spoiled but all systems are spoiled in their way... I read a lot about freedom and authority these days. Recent thinkers are saying authority can let reasonable minds teach order to society, without limiting their freedom. If we need a menacing threat (all kinds of weapons, even if we don't use them) or violence (physical or mental violence) to make increase the order level, then authority failed in its task. As you seem to say, to change the world we need to change a lot of things, or ... ... if everyone spent more time to educate children to raise their critical mind, sharpness and sensitivity, all of this would be thrown to history books. The biggest failure of our society is to think that the cycle of happiness is to get more money to have more and better entertainments. Leading to more and more brainwashed and disillusioned people.
